Is data encryption really necessary?

Absolutely necessary. Data encryption is a vital part of using the internet, and most of the applications and websites you use every day are already using TLS encryption (on websites that start with "HTTPS"). As our lives move more and more online, encryption has never been more important. Go a step further with VPN encryption to keep your online data hidden from prying eyes of many third parties. Such as Internet service providers, network administrators, and various government censors and cybercriminals.

Is AMAN VPN safe to use AES data encryption?

AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is the gold standard for data encryption, and there are three main encryption key lengths: 128-bit, 192-bit and 256-bit. There is no record of AES encryption being broken, and trying to brute force the encryption algorithm would theoretically take billions of years.

How does VPN encryption work?

When you connect to an AMAN VPN server, your connection is given a unique set of encryption keys known only to your computer and the server you are connecting to. Our servers will then assign you an IP address to mask your location and create a secure tunnel through which all your internet data will be sent. Without knowing your encryption key, your data is completely unreadable by anyone but you.

What is a proxy server?

A proxy server can route your VPN connection through an additional server in a different location.

PIA provides Shadowsocks and SOCKS5 proxies to help users bypass harsh geographical restrictions in China, North Korea, Russia and other countries. Note that SOCKS5 proxies are not encrypted.
